The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, or other quantitative fields of study required
  • Master’s Degree in Business Administration, Public Health, Computer Science, Health Administration or other quantitative fields of study preferred
  • 6 years’ experience in analytics and project experience in data querying, statistical programming and data visualization using tools such as SAS, SQL, R, Power BI, Tableau, or SSRS Required. Experience must include 3 years of supporting analytics efforts for performance improvement projects if certification has not been obtained.
  • Prior health care industry experience preferred

Licenses and Certifications:

  • SSGBC – Six Sigma Green Belt Certification upon hire preferred or
  • PMP – Project Management Professional Certification upon hire preferred
Skills:
  • Work requires excellent written and verbal communication, organizational, and critical thinking skills
  • Work requires use of personal computers, software that facilitates data analysis, and proven ability to use pivot tables for presentation
  • Work requires recognition within the broader organization as an expert in multiple subject areas
  • Work requires team building and relationship management skills and abilities that include:
    • Promoting organization culture that fosters teamwork;
    • Encouraging high level commitment to the purpose of the organization;
    • Actively engaging and providing meaningful input during external stakeholder meetings.
  • Work requires significant technical skills and experience which includes:
  • Equivalent (3 years) experience in or Certification for LEAN/Six Sigma Green Belt or Certification as a Project Management Professional
  • Ability to complete predictive/advanced analysis utilizing multiple data sources simultaneously
  • Work requires determination of methods and approaches to work problems.
  • Work requires the ability to consistently listen to and understand all audiences, understand how audiences perceive one another, understand and support the communications objective(s), the message itself, and the most appropriate media and format for communication. The Team Lead must be able to help the organization reach agreement that the value proposition is desired through a combination of leadership and facilitation.
  • Work requires role of primary liaison, managing multiple stakeholder and departmental relationships.
  • Work may require telephone and personal contact with other public and private organizations to obtain assistance in development and establishment of programs.
  • Work requires telephone and personal contact with all levels of faculty and staff within UT Southwestern to assist in information system and project coordination.
  • Work requires demonstration of self-supervision and leadership abilities related to his/her specialized knowledge and/or experience.
