Southwestern Health Resources (SWHR CIN) seeks to hire a Senior Financial Business Analyst - Medical Economics to work Full Time supporting the Medical Economics department.
 
Please note: Southwestern Health Resources Clinically Integrated Network (SWHR CIN) is an affiliated company of Texas Health and UT Southwestern.  If hired for this position, you will become a SWHR CIN employee rather than a Texas Health or UT Southwestern employee.
 
After SWHR Covid protocol ends, this position will office at the SWHR Corporate Headquarters, 1603 LBJ Freeway, Farmers Branch, Texas 75234
 
Salary range is Min $32.93 - Max $50.82 – based on relevant experience
 
Job Description
 
Develop scenario modelling and simulations to drive financial performance tied to medical and pharmacy cost trends.
Develop reporting to monitor SWHR and market cost data and trends to determine potential external impacts or opportunities for SWHR in its full risk arrangements and other gain share arrangements
Outline and implement key cost drives as part of outcome measurement to address clinical and financial risk.
Support deliverables out of the trends working groups and medical management committees. 
Calculate complex return on investment calculations to support quality, risk, and network operation opportunities.
Design and support standardization of reports using multiple external data sets.
Build key metrics and model designs for third-party risk arrangements needed to facilitate improvements and or/expansion of programs such as complex pharmacy spend, remote monitoring, hospitalist programs etc.
Meet with functional teams to outline the requirements and level of support needed.
Assess complexity of tasks and projects and develop timeline and scope documents.
Provide stakeholders with frequent updates and progress of deliverable to promote collaboration and overall efficient timely deliverable.
Report on improvement activities of initiatives based on clinical and financial outcomes.
Follow guidance of Director for standards of reporting, outcomes, and peer reviewing methodologies.
Perform validation process of report or model requirements.
Qualifications
 
Education
Bachelor's Degree in Business or Finance Required
Master's Degree in Business or Finance Preferred

Experience
5 years’ Experience in Population Health Services or Accountable Care Organizations Required
2-3 years’ Experience in Medical, Population Health Services, or ACO Data Claims Experience Strongly Preferred

Skills
Health Care Claims experience is preferred.
Works requires expert knowledge of advanced data science and complex analytical skills
Knowledge of health care business processes and terminology is preferred.
Excellent organizational and time management skills
Ability to work independently, research and resolve questions and problems
Work requires understanding of accountable care organizations, models, and contracts.
Work requires demonstrated database, analytical, and presentation skills.
Work requires good interpersonal, customer service, supervisory, organizational, and leadership skills.
Work requires ability to review, develop, recommend, and implement policies.
Work requires exercise of considerable judgment and great attention to detail.
