Position Responsibilities
Physician Managed Care Analytics:
- Perform data modeling and data analysis using statistical techniques.
- Analyze variances reported in order to identify the causes and implications (utilization) of said variances.
- Participate in operational and clinical benchmarking efforts that will be used to measure and set goals for improving performance.
- Prepare and deliver decision support reports (managed care) to internal customers.
- Perform ad hoc analysis related to SWHR professional utilization and fee schedules.
- Development and maintenance of physician fee schedules.
Data Management/Computer Proficiency:
- Establish data accuracy and validity derived from a variety of systems.
- Work with UTSW, CAPs, and THPG physician groups to ensure proper utilization of the managed care data.
- Maintain data repositories that are free of data errors and up to date to be used in analysis reports.
- Interface with end-users of the decision support system to determine requirements for data, reports, and analysis.
- Advanced to Expert level Microsoft Access and Excel. Some SQL experience preferred.
- Strong understanding of physician CPT codes, rvu, and reimbursement for physician services.
